Blessings, Loves…

After we’ve set our intentions, called upon the Ancestors, and let our 7-day or votive candles burn down, the work isn’t quite finished. The state of your glass jar after the flame goes out is a spiritual report card. It tells you how your energy moved, what obstacles you faced, and whether your manifestation is on its way.

Whether you are working with a long-term 7-day jar or a quick-burning votive, here is how to decode the messages left behind in the glass.

1. The Clean Burn: The “Green Light”

The Appearance: The glass is crystal clear from top to bottom. There is little to no wax residue, and no black soot or cloudiness on the sides.

2. The Black Soot (Top Only): The Temporary Block

The Appearance: The top 1/4 or 1/3 of the jar is coated in black soot, but the rest of the jar burns clean as it goes down.

3. The Burnt Jar (Total Black Soot): The Warning

The Appearance: The entire jar is covered in dark, heavy soot, making it difficult to see the flame or the wax through the glass.

4. The White Soot/Cloudy Glass: The Spiritual Presence

The Appearance: Instead of black smoke, the glass looks milky, cloudy, or has white residue.

5. The Cracked or Broken Jar: The “Energy Burst”

The Appearance: The glass cracks, or in extreme cases, completely shatters during the burn.

Remember, reading the glass is an intuitive art. Always check your own “gut” feeling first. If a jar looks “dirty” but you feel a sense of peace, trust your spirit over the soot!
